...Putting aside fine phrases we shall speak of the significance of each thought: by comparisons and deductions we shall throw light upon surrounding facts.
What I am about to set forth, then, is our system from the points of view of both ourselves and the GOYIM [i.e., non- Jews].
Freedom an idea. Liberalism. Political freedom is an idea, not a fact. One must know how to apply this idea when necessary, using it as bait to attract the masses of the people to one's party for the purpose of crushing another who is in authority...
Politics and morals. Politics has nothing in common with morals. The ruler who is governed by morals is apolitical, and therefore unstable on his throne. He who wishes to rule must resort to both cunning and hypocrisy. Great national qualities like frankness and honesty are vices in politics, for they bring down rulers from their thrones more effectively and more certainly than the most powerful enemy. Such qualities must be the attributes of the kingdoms of the GOYIM, but we must by no means be guided by them.
Invincibility of Masonic power. Our power in the present tottering condition of the world's regimes will be more invincible than any other, because it will remain invisible until the moment when it has gained such strength that no cunning can any longer undermine it.
Partisan dissension. A people left to itself, i.e., to upstarts from its midst, self-destructs due to party dissensions aroused by the pursuit of power and honors and the disorders arising therefrom...
Alcohol. Debauchery. Behold the alcoholic animals, narcotized with drink, the right to an immoderate use of which comes along with freedom. It is not for us and ours to walk that road. The peoples of the GOYIM are benumbed with alcoholic drink; their youth has grown stupid from classicism and from early debauchery, to which it has been encouraged by our special agents...
Principles of Judeo-Masonic rule. Our motto is - Force and Make-believe... Violence must be the principle, and cunning and hypocrisy the rule for governments... Therefore we must not stop at bribery, deceit and treachery when they serve towards the attainment of our ends. In politics one must know how to seize the property of others without hesitation if by this we secure submission and sovereignty.
Terror. Our State, marching along the path of peaceful conquest, has the right to replace the horrors of war by less noticeable and more expedient executions, which are necessary to maintain the terror which produces blind submission... It is enough for them to know that we are merciless for all disobedience to cease.
Freedom, equality, brotherhood. Even in ancient times it was we, among the masses of the people, who first cried the words "liberty, equality, fraternity," words many times repeated since these days by the unconscious parrots who have flown in from every direction, lured by these baits, carrying away with them the well-being of the world and true freedom of the individual, formerly so well guarded against the pressure of the mob...
Destruction of the privileges of the Goy aristocracy. In all corners of the earth the words "liberty, equality, fraternity," have brought whole legions to our ranks who, thanks to our blind agents, have borne our banners with enthusiasm. And the whole time these words were canker-worms, boring into the well-being of the GOYIM, destroying everywhere peace, quiet, and solidarity and undermining the foundations of their states. You will see later that this aided our triumph: it gave us the possibility, among other things, of getting the trump card into our hands - the destruction of privileges, or in other words of the very existence of the GOY aristocracy, which which was the only defense peoples and countries had against us.
The New Aristocracy. On the ruins of the natural hereditary aristocracy of the GOYIM we have set up an aristocracy of our educated class with money at its head. The prerequisites for membership in this aristocracy we have established as wealth, which is dependent upon us, and knowledge, which is controlled by our learned elders.
Psychological calculation. Our triumph has been rendered easier by the fact that in our relations with those who are necessary to us we have always played upon the most sensitive strings of the human mind - upon calculation, avarice, and the insatiability of men's material desires; and each one of these human weaknesses, taken separately, is enough to paralyze initiative, for it delivers men's will into the hands of those who have bought their activities.
Replaceability of the people's representatives. The replaceability of the people's representatives has handed them over to our disposal, and given us, as it were, the power to appoint them.

So we've gotten through the first Protocol. I'd like to note right here that it's characterized by an introductory, preparatory character. Later revelations set forth in the "Protocols" are marked by greater concreteness, and correspondingly begin to arouse real-life associations, the reflection upon which will be accompanied unavoidably by increasing agitation in the minds of readers. You can believe me -- I myself have gone through that stage. That's why I've decided to introduce you into the essence of the matter gradually, giving out information in small doses, giving you time to catch your breath.

By the way, this method of presenting the "Protocols" was well-tested in 1906 by a certain Mr. Demchenko -- one of the first Russians, not counting the aforementioned Sergei Nilus, who decided to not only publish the document, but to provide commentary to it.

I'd like to say a few words about this edition, or more specifically about the commentaries of its author to the "Protocols". Inasmuch as they appeared in print nearly 100 years ago, visible are Demchenko's attempts to predict the development of events through the prism of the Zionist elders' plans. All the more so, since some of them were already obvious by that time.

Our time has practically freed me, as an author, from the task of providing my own commentary: The past century has demonstrated the absolute correspondence of practically all historical events which have occurred since the moment of the "Protocols'" appearance with the the plans set forth in their pages. In the course of reading this book you can convince yourself of that.

Therefore the "entractes" between the elders' "appearances" set aside to give readers a rest will be filled in less by my own conclusions on the preceding material than by various additional information drawn from both history and "current events", which I've decided to present in two forms -- "Historical background" and "Food for Thought".

I admit that that I'm placing special hope on the latter form of presentation: If only my personal thoughts are able to open your eyes to reality, then you just might begin to perceive what's happening to and around you, see through the "smoke screen" created by the diabolically subtle and merciless minds of the Zionist elders.

And one more thing: Immersing yourselves into the reading of the "Protocols", you may get disoriented in time -- so striking are the similarities between what was written 100 years ago with what's going on today. For that reason I'm going to bring you back to reality from time to time by reminding you that the "Protocols" have already "celebrated" their 100th birthday.

Historical Background

Presented for your attention is an excerpt from that very same book by Sergei Nilus, Bliz est', pri dverekh, whose reappearance today has so upset the Jewish press and provided a pretext for a renewed discussion of its contents.

...In 1901 I came into possession of a manuscript, and this slender folio was fated to overturn my world-view to a degree comparable to the miracle of a blind man receiving the gift of sight. Such is capable of being produced in the soul of man only by Divine power.
"...that the works of God should be made manifest in him." (John 9:3)
The manuscript was entitled "The Protocols of a Meeting of Zionist Wise Men" and given to me by the now-deceased Alexey Nikolayevich Sukhotin, Nobles' Representative of Chern District and later Vice-Governor of Stavropol'.
...When I first acquainted myself with its contents, I became convinced that the manuscript, in its horrible, cruel and brazen truth, witnesses the authenticity of its "Zionist" origins to such a degree as to be in no further need of any other proof of authorship. But I was still rather young then, insufficiently acquainted with the Word of God, having not yet entered the society of zealots of the Orthodox spirit and therefore the first thing I did was turn to powerful worldly people, with the aim of warning them through the "Protocols" of the coming dangers.
One high-placed official, whom I intended to interest with my manuscript and who, it seemed to me, might be able to influence the course of events in the Russian Land, answered me that "the Slavs still haven't said their last word, and therefore, no matter how clever or powerful the Zionist elders may be, their plans won't come to pass anytime soon, so there's no need to be concerned."
Another even more high-placed official whom I approached with the "Protocols", was the great prince-martyr Sergei Alexandrovich. After examining the manuscript he sent me a message through a person close to him consisting of only one word:
"Pozdno!" ["Too late!" -- Editor]
There were further attempts made by me to bring my manuscript to the attention of the right people, but they did not meet with success....
